To be honest, New Zealand has had a pretty atrocious December weather wise, so we weren't expecting to get much sun over Christmas when we headed up to Thames by coach on Christmas Eve. We had 2 1/2 great sunny days out out of the 5 and that's much of what is caught on camera, giving you the somewhat false impression that's always really sunny and warm out here.
We had a great, relaxing time over Christmas playing tennis, badminton, frisbee, scrabble, petangue, crown darts and going swimming, cycling and walking. This was compensated for by the truly huge amounts of food consumed over the 5 days.
Wedding plans hotting up. We've met the celebrant and are in the final stages of meal and music planning, so much to do when you get into the nitty gritty.
It's now new year's eve and we're hoping to go down Aotea Square to experience the turn of the year with a few thousand others. Hope everyone back in the UK (and Marco in Germany) had a great new year!
Here's a short video of Our Christmas (wmv format, x mb)
