As far as i can remember, a british lions tour to a non rugby fan, doesn't really register back home in the UK compared to soccer. The lions tour here has been talked about for months and it's basically like a world cup atmosphere here at the moment. I've watched more damned rugby and cricket since i've been here than in my whole life! I think it's really good that all the regional provincial teams get a shot at the lions on their way round NZ on what is i think an 11 or 12 match tour.

Huge flags were recently sent a flutter outside my offices in Queen Street to welcome the tourists......
