Finally, i have a chance to sit down and write something about the last few weeks. We have had an absolutely fantastic time (bar a few big brother moments!). Annabel and I received our first letter this morning addressed to Mr and Mrs Patton and got very excited. We did our first supermarket shop without arguing for ages, so there's definitely something in this being married lark.
I've settled back down at work, the break was much needed and in fact i have to say it was probably the best holiday i've had. It kind of (for me at least) felt like a holiday within a holiday, as i'm enjoying NZ so much anyways. We were really looking forward to people coming and besides Marco (who is sunning himself in Sydney as i type) everyone has headed back off into the blue yonder.
I though i'd feel a bit depressed about all of that after the climactic high point of the wedding, but to be honest we are really enjoying having a bit of time just the two of us. And of course there is next month to look forward to when we can be real smug marrieds with Chris and Nikki (did i spell it right chris?) when they arrive in new zealand for their honeymoon.
Have started volunteering for the caring communities project (run by Leanne Holdsworth of Holistic Business). This is a project to make it easy for employees to contribute and get rewards from working within in the community. I'll be providing technical and programming assistance over the next couple of months so really looking forward to that.
