black out brings much needed rest

auckland suffered a power black out for much of the day, so i spent most o fit at home grumbling about new zealand infrastructure and forgetting i couldn't make a cup of tea. I popped out to the car each hour to catch the news, and we realised how unprepared we were in the even of any sort of civil disaster. Although given the fact that the blackout was caused by high winds and not a tornado or terrorist attack, i'd probably say the same goes for the nz grid operators, whoever that might happen to be today.

Anyways, it was a much needed day off and i managed to get a few hours sleep on our new fancy sofa which open into a bed, very cumfy.
