Zen Internet are great http://www.zenadsl.com/ADSL.aspx?page=169, great service and nice attitude (they have a cool newsletter).

http://www.adslguide.org.uk/ has the low down on all the companies offering broadband in the UK.

Mine has been only 256K here in NZ, there is only one company called Telecom (like BT) who have a monopoloy on everything. Thankfully they've been gracious enough to up the speed of the package i'm on, so it'll be 2MB soon!
