first few days in Hobson Street

On Tuesday, we finally moved into our apartment. It's Friday now, and we're still over the moon at just how lovely it is. It's so good to be able to walk to the centre of town to go to Cinema, get food etc.

The only slight downside is the flat is so big it takes an age to heat up! But we're not planning to be here next winter if all goes to plan so every day it's getting a little bit warmer..

I'm still busily job hunting and also getting to know the local .NET crowd when i visited the Auckland .NET User Group (http://www.dot.net.nz/) which was great. I have a few agencies working away on my behalf and hopefully this coupled with my own efforts in approaching and contacting companies directly will pay off. I'm quite enjoying the break but will not feel like i have really moved to NZ until i'm paying my way!

Unfortunately, i lost my new mobile on Wednesday night, either that or i was pickpocketed which wasn't nice. Off tonight to see Michael Moore's latest film Fahrenheit 9/11 which i'm really looking forward to.

Just about to go down to rr sport (www.rrsport.co.nz) to pick up our new bicycles. Should be able to cycle just about anywhere in central Auckland inside about 15 mins, so hopefully i can get a job that won't require me to commute from the centre of the city!

"Unfortunately, i lost my new mobile on Wednesday night..."

You can take the Keith out of London but you can't take the Keith out of Keith...another consumer (non) durable bites the dust. My sympathies.
